Ashur University explores strengthening scientific and academic cooperation with the American University of Iraq – Baghdad

Under the direction of the President of Ashur University, Prof. Dr. Kadhim Abboud Al-Majidi, a delegation from Ashur University visited the American University of Iraq – Baghdad on Wednesday, October 21, 2026. The visit aimed to strengthen scientific and academic cooperation between the two institutions and to facilitate the exchange of expertise in scientific and educational fields, thereby contributing to the advancement of academic pursuits and the enhancement of higher education standards.

The delegation was led by Prof. Dr. Saad Sami Al-Khafaji, Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs, and included the following members:

• Prof. Dr. Talib Mohammed Jawad Abbas, Secretary of the University Council.
• Prof. Dr. Ahmed Hussein Radhi, Head of the Accounting Department at the College of Administration and Economics.
• Prof. Dr. Qasim Salih Mahdi, Director of the Continuing Education Center.

This visit aligns with Ashur University’s strategic direction to broaden the horizons of cooperation with other universities and academic institutions, foster scientific partnerships, and exchange experiences—all in service of the university’s goals to advance education and scientific research.
