Under the patronage of the President of Ashur University, Professor Dr. Kadhim Al-Majidi, and with the distinguished presence of the President of the University of Baghdad, Professor Dr. Alaa Abdul Hussein Attia, and in coordination with the Department of Media and Government Communication, the Department of Architectural Engineering at Ashur University held its second annual exhibition under the supervision of the Head of the Department, Professor Dr. Qabila Faris, under the theme "From Abstraction to Function." The exhibition showcased how the department achieves its vision, mission, and objectives through a distinguished curriculum and study plan that aims to graduate architects who meet the needs of the job market and keep pace with the demands of modern technology. The exhibition also highlighted the department's unique approach to teaching its students the knowledge, skills, and competencies that enable them to become architects who serve their country and preserve its architectural identity. The exhibition showcased outstanding works by first, second, and third-year students in the department, in addition to their exceptional projects in practical and theoretical courses. It also highlighted Iraq's rich history and distinctive architecture, and showcased students' hobbies and skills in other areas such as jewelry and fashion design, graphic design, playing various musical instruments, and other interests that characterize architecture students, reflecting their creativity and high artistic sensibility alongside the scientific and organizational skills derived from their engineering specialization.
The exhibition impressed attendees, who praised the high academic level of the department's students and the quality of the displayed works.
