Today, Monday 10/14/2024, Prof. Dr. Kadhim Al-Majidi, President of Ashur University, met with the French Cultural Attaché at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Ms. Bernadette Chio.
The meeting was attended by the Scientific Assistant to the President of the University, the Advisor to the President of the University, and the Director of Scholarships and Cultural Relations at the University.
The meeting discussed the distinguished opportunities for cooperation between Ashur University and French universities and institutions in medical and engineering specialties and all of our university specialties. At the forefront of these opportunities was the realization of the summer school opportunity for Ashur University students in all specialties, which contributes to developing the knowledge and capabilities of university students and introducing them to new and advanced learning means in France. This will be achieved in the summer of the current academic year, God willing. In addition to achieving the summer school for our dear students, it was agreed to provide opportunities for scientific cooperation for faculty members at Ashur University from all specialties, in addition to opportunities to hold joint scientific conferences, workshops, training courses, and joint scientific research in all scientific fields, most notably sustainability, artificial intelligence, virtual reality, heritage and ruins preservation, and all medical, engineering, science, and humanities specialties. During the meeting, all available cooperation opportunities between the two parties were discussed, with an introductory presentation about Ashur University presented by the Director of the Department of Scholarships and Cultural Relations at Ashur University, in addition to showing a film that took the guests on a special trip to all the buildings and educational facilities at the university, the hospital, the sports center, and all the distinguished internal and external facilities at our university to serve our dear students. Ms. Bernadette Chiu was also taken on an introductory trip to the university to see all these facilities and services, including a visit to the medical clinic dedicated to dentistry to serve the local community and provide distinguished applied educational opportunities for our students. With this blessed step, Ashur University, headed by Professor Dr. Kadhim Al-Majidi, has added a lot to its scientific achievements and has taken rapid steps towards scientific and cognitive progress through cooperation with distinguished educational institutions and international universities with the aim of providing its students and facilities members with distinguished skills and capabilities to keep pace with the developments of the technological era and the requirements of the labor market, while providing opportunities to obtain a master's and doctoral degree. The university is moving quickly to add more to its scientific achievements in the field of international scientific cooperation at all levels.
